PlumRus is a home for the elderly that is situated in the beautiful Constantia Valley of Cape Town. PlumRus Community Service Centre operates from PlumRus from where we strive to create a hub for Elderly Persons in our community.

The warm ambience and homely feel of PlumRus flows over to our Community Centre where all of our clients are treated as our own Mom or Dad would be.

Both the clients and the staff are part of the decision-making process to ensure that everyone plays a part in the success of PlumRus Community Service Centre. The staff members are continually trained to give the best medical, physical and emotional support to the clients.

PlumRus stands apart for a number of reasons: when the going gets tough, PlumRus helps you get going. We provide Basic Care at home for the Elderly who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible. We are not a hospital or doctor, but will assist you with all of your basic care needs, and be a companion to you so that you can feel happy, at home and safe.

Coffee Shop

The coffee shop is a popular spot on the premises of PlumRus to get tasty treats and to meet with one another to catch up. We can also assist with transport to and from PlumRus.

Spiritual Wellness

Right in the centre of the PlumRus heart is the spiritual aspect, as this is often the driving force behind the clients positive outlook. PlumRus is a joint ministry of the Dutch Reformed Church and United Reformed Churches, and is part of BADISA. We promote the spiritual wellness of our family with a varied programme that is based on Christian doctrines. Various services, prayer groups and study groups are conducted at PlumRus.

To create a safe, happy and homely atmosphere and environment in which residents and staff can participate in the decision making, upkeep and management of the home and to utilize the infrastructure and facilities of Rusoord as a hub for older persons in the community with abundant friends.
